BUSINESS NAME GENERATOR

Find a business name that can grow with you.

A useful business name is easy to say, hard to confuse, broad enough for growth, and practical as a domain. Generate directions first, then verify the domain at a registrar.

Before choosing a business name

Say it aloud

If people cannot repeat it after hearing it once, referrals get harder.

Leave room to grow

Avoid a name so narrow that a future product or market no longer fits.

Check the domain

A great name still needs a practical web address. Final availability is always confirmed by the registrar.

Business naming worksheet

Choose a name for the business you intend to grow, not only the first product you will sell. A coffee subscription may later open a shop; a bookkeeping service may add consulting. Describe the core benefit in the input, then decide whether the name should feel approachable, restrained or energetic.

1. Write a useful brief

Use a concrete phrase such as “neighborhood coffee shop” instead of “great business.” The tool maps recognized categories to a small vocabulary and combines it with a selected style. Unsupported categories use the English keywords you provide; this is not a full language model.

2. Compare three different directions

Save a descriptive option, a warmer option and a more abstract option. For a coffee business, a bean-based direction signals the category while a broader studio-style direction gives more room to expand. These are naming exercises, not available domains or businesses offered for sale.

3. Test the name in ordinary sentences

Say “I bought it from …” and “Email us at …” aloud. Ask someone to spell the name after hearing it, without showing your preferred spelling. Keep the candidates that need the least explanation, not simply the ones that earn the most immediate compliments.

Questions before you decide

Will these names be unique?

No. The same rules can produce the same names for different users, and an existing business may already use a candidate. Search relevant company and trademark records and verify domains before adopting it.

Should the business name and domain be identical?

Treat an exact match as one option, not a requirement. A short, honest modifier may work better than an unreadable spelling. Compare how the full address looks and sounds, and check that it does not imply a service you do not offer.

What should I save for later?

Use the shortlist to keep up to 12 candidates locally. Export before clearing browser data or changing devices. Saving here neither reserves a name nor registers a domain.
